Viral Marketing is basically a method of marketing & advertising through social networks on the internet to increase brand awareness. In short that means your goal of viral marketing is to spread your name or products name through social media sites so that people regonize you as an everyday thing.
Like Kleenex has done. They have effectively dominated their industries niche. When you ask for a tissue, you don’t say can I have a tissue, you say can I have a Kleenex. Thus their brand has been imprinted into your mind so well that you know the product by the brand.
That is true advertising power right there my friends. And this is what Viral Marketing allows you to do. But in order to do it right, you must use the proper Viral Marketing Tools. What’s a car mechanic without the right wrench?

Once you have found your favorite Social Networks to market in. It’s time to actually find out whats possible with the right tools.
First off, let me just say this. Viral Marketing IS NOT about spamming links to affiliate products. That is 100% the WRONG way to do this. Your links must have credible information and position you as the expert of the given subject. When you do this properly people will pass on your link and further “syndicate” your content throughout the web.
Why? Simply because they liked the article, video, photo or whatever type of content it was and they feel like sharing it with others because it’s that darn good.
Can you picture that happening with an affiliate link? I’m sure it would be everyone’s dream if people would ReTweet you links like that on Twitter but in reality it just doesn’t go down like that.
Which brings me to my next point. Twitter is by far the most powerful marketing medium and tool all in one. It has the capability to market to millions in minutes as well as build valuable relationships that last a lifetime, all while sharing great and original content promoting YOUR stuff.
