How To Invite More People To Your Group
Once you get one created you’ll notice that that you’ll have the option to invite people.
That’s something you need to start doing right away. You need to only invite people you know will be interested in the group you just created because they will be more responsive and more active.
Inviting people to a group is just like building a list. I wouldn’t build a list from people in the dating niche and then try to sell them Internet Marketing products. That would just be down right dumb. Target them, check out their profile and see what their interests are before you invite.
Many times people go bout this the wrong way and just invite every single friend they have on Facebook to join just to get numbers up. While this may provide some initial social proof in the long run it will the group wont be as concrete as it could be.
How To Message All Groups Members
The next thing you’re going to see is a “Message All Members” link. That is probably your most powerful tool when using a Facebook group. Just like it says it gives you the power to message ALL GROUP MEMBERS. They will get not only a notification in their Facebook inbox but directly to their email inbox.
Can you even picture how powerful that is?
It’s like having got them to opt into a squeeze page and get on your list except you did it with out trying to sell or promote a darn thing because Facebook is non-intrusive.
Just make sure you add a significant amount of value in your messages to your group. Do not just blatantly try to sell stuff to them cause they won’t buy right away. Show them value first and offer something for free that really does benefit them.
How To Add Value To A Facebook Group
• Give something away for free. It could be an ebook, it could be free advice, it could be anything as long as if helps out your reader. Always remember they are going to be thinking “Whats in it for me?”
• Give away downloadable. You don’t even have to own a downloadable product to do this. Simply just link to them. You could use things like WP Plugins.
• Upload videos exclusively to your Facebook group so they can only be viewed there and provide great tips, tricks or tutorials.
What you choose to do give massive benefit to your visitor. Make it exclusive to be in this group. You could even make the group a private invite so that not everyone under the sun can join. This will make you seem like an awesome, exclusive place to be. That is exactly what you want.
One of the groups I’m a member of is TSA – Tribal Syndication Association. What we do is promote your stuff. Here’s how it works.
You join the group, put your name on the Google Docs spreadsheet with the appropriate information and everyone else in the group will come through and syndicate your stuff. That means you will get RTs, comments, tagged on FB, dugg on Digg, and tons of other cool things.
However, this is merely a means of distribution if you will. We do not guarantee RTs, comments, or anything else because if the content sucks then people won’t naturally want to RT and it will seem like “pitty Tweet”. (lol, I don’t even know what that is but it sounded appropriate at the time.)
You want to write content on your blog posts everyday that contains true unique value. And trust me, there is plenty of stuff out there to blog about everyday. Just put your thoughts down on WordPress if you can’t think of anything else. Just do it, think like Nike. That’s the point here.
