Is Mobile Advertising The Future Of Business Online?
With the advancement of technology today, things move fast.
Not only has the recent spring of social media advertising been taking the marketplace by storm but there is an even newer development that is brewing deep within the confines of your pocket.
What is this mysterious advertising platform you ask?
Mobile smartphones my friends, mobile smart phones.
It is now possible for you to serve advertisements for your products on a device like the iPhone through services like Google Adwords.
With Adwords you can literally select “mobile” as a method of serving ads. If you selected that this would mean that your ads would only show up on mobile platforms like the iPhone or Android phones like the Nexus One or even the Blackberry Storm.
Yahoo, Facebook, and the others will be soon follow shortly. You can be sure of that.
Here’s The Low Down On Mobile Ads
We all know that technology is getting more and more advanced every single day. And smart phones aren’t going to go away any time soon.
And neither are online advertisements.
Now picture the world 5 or 6 years from now. Picture where technology will be at that point and then picture whats going to be in your left pocket. (at least that’s where I keep mine) and hen tell me you think that’s not going to be a gold mine.
Truth is, it already is a gold mine.
You just have to learn how to tap into it.
And for that I have a couple of tips for you.
You see, mobile ads are a little bit different from regular PPC ads.
Regular PPC ads are put in front of people when they are on their PCs (or iMacs if you tight) and they can get the full experience of video and images with no holds barred.
However, on mobile ads not all smart phones have flash support which means not all of them can watch video on the spot. Plus you usually won’t have the persons full attention because they are usually on the go if they are mobile.
For this reason, you want to focus mainly on capturing the visitors email with the purpose of providing more information to their inbox.
It is far to difficulty to deliver a full presentation at this time with the current technology on mobile phones. You want to keep it simple and reserve the presentation for the prospect when they get back to the computer.
Again primary focus should be on getting simple opt in and then delivering more content via email inbox.
While I’ve been looking for a good resource for you to learn more about this type of advertising I haven’t found something I think is of tremendous value that I think is worth promoting on my blog yet.
But make sure to stay tuned to get further updates on mobile ads and how you can put them to use in the future of your business.
I will be sure to do another post as the situation develops.
