Applying What You Learn

View Comments

Well Holy Shit! Guess who hasn’t done this before?

Yes, I am guilty. I have bought something online and not applied what I learned from it. But I am willing to bet money that if you’ve been online, for say longer than 6 months to a year, then you have too.

And ya know, that’s pretty stupid that you spent your good hard earned money on something you didn’t even implement into your Internet business.

But that’s cool, we all make mistakes ya know. We all do this kind of stuff, it’s just human nature. The important part is that you learned from it.

And I’m not talking about learning from whatever it is you bought. You could buy every product in the world and study the crap out of it but it won’t get you an closer to where you want to be monetarily and freedom wise if you never apply any of it.

And that brings me to the point of my post today. There are always two kinds of people out there who seem to be stuck in the same trap.

• One, they buy all these courses and watch them over and over and always think about how great it would be if they had these kind of results too. How great it will be when they implement this stuff too. When in reality they are never going to do any of that stuff, they are just curious, just looking to excite themselves a little bit but are never really going to take business online serious enough to make a 6 figure income.

• Two, there are those people who have “dabbled” in everything online from video editing with After Effects to Internet Marketing and building lead capture pages and sales funnels. These kinds of people never truly master anything, and in fact, a lot of times they never really finish what they start. They are basically opportunity seekers, always looking for “the next big thing” that is finally going to make them rich. And this doesn’t have to be an MLM company, it could be a new Internet Marketing course they buy for $50 bucks, or a new piece of software thats going to add one million people on Twitter for them, or whatever.

Point is that these kind of people exist who are just going to spend like 3 grand on something and then never put their new tools to good use.

And I want you to start becoming aware of these own patterns in your life and your buying habits, because I can almost guarantee that you have been in those shoes before. And if you have, you probably haven’t paid close attention to how your emotions were at the time because they were so intense.

But seriously, take into consideration next time you are about to spend money on something how you feel emotionally inside because that emotion right there is going to tell you the reason why you are buying this new thing.

It’s going to tell you and give you the reason behind why, psychologically, you are buying this new gold nugget.

And it’s only when you consciously start paying attention to that feeling that you start understanding the sales process from a different level entirely. You start to see exactly how the person selling you this product crafted their message in such a way that induced a TON of emotion in you and made you want to bust out your credit card on the spot and make the purchase.

Again, this isn’t a bad thing, and it’s probably how you will make a lot of money once you master these online sales techniques but it’s important to understand HOW its done. To understand HOW it’s structured.

So next time, pay attention to what you doing and why you’re doing it, then it no longer has power over you.
