Dude I Hate My Job Review

I was just watching a video over at Dude I Hate My Job where Adam Horwitz was interviewing another young man by the name of Michael Dunlop. And they covered all sorts of topics from email marketing and list building to interview strategies of others in your niche.

But what I found to be really interesting was when they started talking about a really cool product review strategy.

You see, instead of doing a review on a single affiliate product, which will probably come out pretty biased, especially if you are trying to promote that product at the end of your post. Obviously you are going to hype it up a little bit because you want the reader to buy something from you at the end of the post.

Well I’m here to offer a different take on this now overused strategy. Instead of writing a review on one product and comparing it to itself, which can be kind of hard sometimes, why don’t you write a review on multiple products and compare them against each other?

I mean, when ya think about it, it’s kind of like DUH, that was just common sense. Or at least that’s what I was thinking when I first heard about this strategy.

Product Review Strategy

The reason this works better is because people are not dumb, no matter how bad you want them to be. Especially people surfing on the web because in order to do that they have to have some amount of technical savvyness about them, which means they’re at least a semi intelligent person.

So next time you want to write a product review on your blog you need to start thinking outside of the box a little bit.

Let’s say you want to promote a product about dog training. Go out on Clickbank and find a product that is still pretty good but not as good as your main product you want to promote. Then all you do is use the second product as a damaged reference. And what I mean by damaged reference is basically that you are just going to use this product to make your first product look REALLY good.

You’re going to point out all of its flaws and then show your readers how product 1 is better than product 2.

And by doing this people will sort of get the message that the product you are promoting is actually a really good product and should be taken seriously.

Then there’s the whole theory of giving value to something. More specifically, when people pay money to something they are more likely to take what they buy seriously versus downloading a free ebook or something like that.

Anyways, I gotta get back to work on some other projects here but I just wanted to take a minute to share this cool thought/idea with you.

Oh, and if you want to learn even more about blogging and how you can make a ton of money blogging about your passion then you need to check out the Dude I Hate My Job video. There’s a lot of cool stuff going on over there right now.
