If you are truly serious about being successful in Network Marketing or really just anything in life you need to find the right mentor. And it doesn’t necessarily have to be a top earner or multimillionaire in your field but it does have to be someone that shares your core values and that you can easily relate with.

And most importantly, plan on compensating your mentor with money or some form of service or trade that they can utilize.

Great mentors value their time and you will have to earn your a space in that time slot. If your mentor is very accessable without you truly earning their time, it probably means that they are not very successful. You see, great mentors know that the person they are taking under their wing should have to pay some form of price to earn their time and their mentorship, whether it’s their money or their time.

Show them that you want it more than anyone else, and you will get it. Because trust me, you are not an exception even if you think you should be.

You will need to be very coachable and very flexible to accommodate your mentors needs and time constraints. Sometimes people have to reschedule and rethink their available time slots. Also, your mentor will not be perfect so don’t count on them to know the answers to everything you ask.However, do take risks on the things your mentor suggests but also use your own best judgment to make sure it follows your intended path.

If your mentor is getting the kind of results you want then the most important thing you can do is mimic your mentors habits or your mentors communications skills, or both. Your not just buying the tips and guidance with your mentor but the experience. The experience that your mentor has to offer you.

Don’t be shy, ask your mentor to completely honest with you and to tell you what they think your strengths and weaknesses are. Sometimes its really hard for you to see them for yourself, or maybe you’re just scared to…

Never argue with your mentor, that’s a big no-no, even if you know for a fact that they are wrong just accept their point of view, learn what you can and move on to the next topic.

This is an interesting trick to experiment with, ask others who their mentors were. It’s a very revealing question. In my experience, it’s the people who can name their mentor or mentors instantly without any hesitation that have been the most successful and well rounded entrepreneurs. You need to be someone that can answers that question quickly.

When you are being mentored by someone great people will soon be coming to you seeking out your mentorship, that’s how you know they are a great mentor and are choosing the right person to learn from.

Man, I know if you’re like me that was almost painful to read and I’m almost sorry that I put you through that but I felt like you needed to hear EXACTLY how to NOT market your opportunity.

It’s interesting how more and more people have been contacting me about what I do online the more and more success I start having.

I actually just spent a few hours at an old friends house teaching him how to make money online. Or how to take the first few steps at least.

And to be honest, I really have such a deep passion for teaching people how to do this stuff. But not just anyone, I only teach people who can smell the stench of freedom. If I can smell it on you that bad then I will actually teach you everything for free simply because I know exactly how it was when I was first getting started and everyone wanted to charge me like 2K for a coaching session.

I think that paying money for that stuff when you first start is kind of a waste because you don’t even know what you want to do yet or what kind of niches you want to get involved in. (unless you know Scott Hoffman, tell him I sent ya, he’ll hook ya up) What you really need is someone who can guide you and bring out your passions in life and then help bring them out and make money talking about them.

But enough about that, let’s talk about what I did with one of my good childhood friends today that helped him get started online.

This guy actually didn’t have very much knowledge about Internet Marketing but he had more than I expected. He knew about advertising on Google and that people make a lot of money selling adspace on their websites, which is actually a big step ahead of the rest.

What I really wanted to do with him is talk about basic list building strategies and affiliate marketing. Because I think that is the easiest and fastest way to start making money online. So I showed him Clickbank. The best place to find products to promote online.

Then once I explained some basic list building strategies to him and showed him how easy it was to create your affiliate link in Clickbank and promote we talked about some marketing strategies.

And this guy is a broke college kid, like I was, and didn’t really have an advertising budget so we talked about free marketing strategies like Social Media sites like Twitter and Facebook.While great techniques, for complete newbies I think the EASIEST way is to get involved with Forum Marketing.

Forum Marketing is unique because all you have to do is pop your affiliate link in your signature file and then start adding posts. The idea here is to really engage people and lead with great value and great content. Really offer people something and they will be curious enough to click on your link.

Then you simply just link out to an affiliate product via Clickbank or whatever you are trying to offer and people will buy from you. In the end, its really all about traffic. The more traffic you drive the more chances you are going to have for people to buy and the more money you are going to make when more of them do decide to purchase through you link.

Anyways, I think I’ve gone on enough for the day here. I will keep you posted on how things go with my friend and how long it takes for him to make his first sale.

Especially if John only recommends products that he himself has personally tried, tested, and is very satisfied with his readers will greatly benefit from that information as well, so yes, reseller rights are for everyone.

In fact, this is viral marketing at it’s best. And since John knows that he is going to generate some affiliate commissions from the ebook his is prepared to sell it at the discounted rate of $50 where he would have normally charged double that. Everybody wins.

Another great strategy that is becoming increasingly popular is creating a sales page, website and other marketing materials that come with the ebook so that when you sell it to someone with reseller rights they can then instantly start promoting it and making sales because you already did all the hard work for them. By playing on people’s natural instinct to be lazy and making the reselling process as easy as possible for them you will increase the amount of sales your ebook makes 10 fold.

The goal of today’s post will be to properly educate you on how to structure a Network Marketing sales funnel from start to finish to bring in a never ending flow of new distributors to your business, on autopilot.

Once you have the squeeze page set up you need to send them to a sales page directed towards you company once they opt in.

Populate With Your Own Keywords And Videos

This is where you will not only sell you company but you will sell yourself. If you haven’t heard it yet let me be the first one to tell you that people don’t join companies, they join people. Bottom line. That’s why if you have more marketing knowledge and more value to offer your prospects they are going to join you in business over anybody else.

Now here’s the awesome part, and normally this is where everyone would fall short because writing and creating videos for a sales page it hard, and most people just never do it.

We are going to be using PPC to do this. Here’s how it works.

You want to create keyword campaigns within The 7 Figure Networker System that goes after all of your competing companies. For example, if your in MonaVie then you will want to go after competing juice companies.

First off, what is “Stacking The Cool”? And how do you do it?

Video Marketing Tip #1 – Create A Slide Show

With tools like PowerPoint and Keynote that come standard with every Mac or PC you buy you have the tools at your disposal to make an extremely high quality video presentation without ever showing your face on camera. You will however need to use your voice. The idea here is to create a slide show with bullet points and visually pleasing graphics that keep your viewers hooked.

Video Marketing Tip #1 – Create A Screen Capture

With tools like Camtasia for the PC and Mac you can easy record your computer screen to demonstrate how to do something cool to your viewers. I use this technique all the time when I want to do a video walkthrough of setting up a WordPress blog or maybe a GoDaddy FTP tutorial. Whichever the case make this a must have tool in your arsenal.

Video Marketing Tip #3 – Actually Get Your Butt On Camera

At some point, no matter how good you are on screen capture or Keynote your viewers will eventually want to see your face. So basically you should use the first two techniques as a way of getting use to being on video then once you feel really comfortable you can expand into putting your mug on screen.

However, there are a few techniques you can use to make actually being on camera less scary and more entertaining than just a talking head. For example, you can focus on doing one quick sentence with a lot of oomph and then do another one following the flow of the previous consecutively. Then once you film them all you can simply just link them all together into one and now you’ve got a great looking video that will hold your viewers attention.

This is actually a follow up post to a video I did awhile ago showing you how to add an opt in box to your Facebook Profile. This was a hot video and many people loved the content and the techniques I showed you how to do. However, after doing some serious split testing I have found that Facebook Opt-in Boxes don’t convert very well at all. Period.

I have found that banner ads convert WAY better and get A TON more clicks than opt-in boxes on Social Media sites. Bottom line is that people just don’t like to “sold” something on social media websites. They are a place for being social, not for selling.

Have you ever wanted to make your YouTube videos autoplay once the page loads?

This can be very effective strategy to use on a squeeze page or something similar because it kinda of forces people to watch your video.

Which is good if you want to gather some information from them like their name and email.

In fact it’s been proven that having an autoplay video on a squeeze page will dramatically increase your conversion rates.

Here’s how you do it…

This is an example of a video I recently used the same technique on.

The part that I added is highlighted.

And just to clarify we are adding that code onto the end of the YouTube video.

So on a regular looking link it would look like this.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPUxjrJtYCo and then you w0uld add the auto play goods right after it like this.

&autoplay=1 right on the end of the last piece of the video with no spaces, and of course you would need the rest of the embed code you saw above for it to work properly.

Go put this technique to use in all of your marketing videos, like squeeze pages, short greetings video on a sales page, and whatever else you can think of.

If you have noticed maybe you have been wondering how you can start to capitalize on this growing trend. I’ve found forums to be quite profitable and I wanted to share some of the secrets I’ve discovered when marketing in forums.

Forum Marketing Tip #1 – Add Value And Be Transparent

The absolute worst thing you could do in a forum is sign up and start posting affiliate links everywhere possible. People will literally get pissed off at you and probably let you know that you’re being a douche bag. Either that or you’ll get banned from the forum.

But there is a light at the end of the tunnel my friend. When you come onto a forum you want to make sure to fill out your profile information to the best of your ability. This means adding things like your DOB, avatar picture, short bio, and whatever else your asked to fill in. You should also fill in links to your social media profiles so that people can further connect with you.

The reason you do all of these things is because you want build trust and value within peoples eyes. This way when it does finally come time to post an affiliate link you can do it in a cool and non-salesmen like fashion. You want to promote stuff that is of top notch quality that will honestly help people out and get them closer to their desired goal.

Forum Marketing Tip #2 – Utilize The Sig

Well, I know as an Internet Marketer you are eager to promote stuff and make money online but spamming your link to people is not that way to do that. Especially in forums. But there is a place in forums where you can promote anything you want without people labeling you as a spammer.

It’s called “The Signature” of sig file. And this is where you can put the affiliate link to your favorite product that you promote. However, there is a strategy to get more clicks to your sig file. Remember how I talked about adding value? Well when you add value that makes you stand out from the crowd. It makes people get interested in you personally and want to find out more about you. So when you reply to a forum thread and you say something that grabs peoples interest then they will be 10x time more likely to click on your links and check you out.

Forum Marketing Tip #3 – Get Drunk And Post

Ya, that already sounds crazy I know. But check it out, this has a some truth to it. When you get a little buzz going on and you start posting stuff online you come off with a little bit of an edge because most people tend to get really opinionated when they drink.

So why not make the best of your alcoholism?

No, but seriously. I’m not talking chugging a bottle of vodka and posting threads in forums, I’m talking about having a couple brewskies and getting down on some Internet Marketing. You’d be surprised how cool of a rant you can make up when you’ve got a little buzz going on, lol.
