Why GetResponse Is Better Than Aweber
Hey there,
Pretty intriguing title eh? I know, I wrote it…
Lol, but all joking aside, I wanna show you why I believe GetResponse is much better than Aweber for all your list management and email broadcasting needs. Since the dawn of Internet Marketing, there has been much controversy as to which autoresponder service is “The Best” on the web and right now I’m here to tell you why I think GetResponse takes the cake.
GetResponse Reason #1: Usability
It has been said in the past by many that Aweber is by far the most user friendly of the two autoresponders, but I disagree. And just for the record, its going to come down to the little things because at the end of the day, both services do the same thing.
You see, when I log into my Aweber account, it really doesn’t appeal to me all that much when I compare it to Get Response. What I really like about Get Response is that I can go to my dashboard and see a quick glance of all my stats like how many leads I generated to day, how well my last broadcast performed, among many other things.
This makes it REALLY easy to see exactly how well I’m doing with my email marketing and list building all from one screen. With Aweber, I have to click around a bunch of different times and go into other parts of the members area to see all of that data. And yes, while you can see it in Aweber, GetResponse just makes it so much simpler by putting it all in one place.
GetResponse Reason #2: Importing Form Code
This is something I have always HATED about Aweber and always LOVED about GetResponse. And if you’ve ever used the two of them, you know what I’m talking about. When I try to import form code from Aweber into a squeeze page, it is EXTREMELY difficult to do because it has all of this crappy CSS code that nobody likes in there. And its hard to get rid of, even if you choose the plain text version of the form code, it still puts the nasty, ugly looking code in there. GetResponse on the other hand, does not do this. They have a very clean form code with minimal CSS code for styling, especially if you select the plain text version.
I loved this when I was first getting started online because I could easily figure out what form code I needed to import into my squeeze pages to make them work properly. With Aweber, I struggle every single time, even though I’ve done it hundreds of times by now. It seems that the code is always changing and getting trickier as time goes on.
But with that said, Aweber’s purpose for doing that is so that you dont have to deal with code, they do it because you are supposed to just import the premade forms into your website and make them work. While thats cool, and is an easy solution to getting an opt in offer up on your blog or squeeze page, ultimately it does not provide the user with a “cool” looking opt in offer, but more of a generic, cookie-cutter form that everyone has already seen, thus making it convert lower.
GetResponse Reason #3: Affordability
This is huge because as a startup entrepreneur, you probably don’t have much capital to invest into all kinds of monthly charges. Eventually, $20 bucks here and $50 bucks there starts to add up to a lot of money and can be very overwhelming at times.
With GetResponse, you will pay as you grow, meaning you can start out with a small account and upgrade as your list gets bigger and bigger. Get Response starts as $9.95 a month for your first 250 subscribers versus Aweber which is $20 dollars per month for your first 500 subscribers.
Now you might think that you’ll need that 500 threshold limit with Aweber because its a pretty good deal and you can take a trial of the service for one dollar. But its still not as good of a deal as you might think because GetResponse STILL beats their pricing. For your first 1000 subscribers, GetResponse only charges you $18.00 dollars per month, saving you $2 dollars and getting you and additional 500 subscribers over Aweber, making GetResponse the obvious choice.

How To Be Cool To Your List
This is NUMBER ONE on the biggest mistakes of Internet Marketers list for sure.
People love to get you on their list and just pitch pitch pitch until it makes you cry (or unsubscribe).
Man, it sucks! So STOP IT!
Yes you, if you are guilty of sending sales pitch like messages in your emails then you should cut it out.
I’m serious, cut that shit out! Nobody likes it, and nobody opens your emails anyways…
Ahh, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. There is a way for you to be extremely cool to your list and its really just SO freakin’ simple that it’s probably why most people overlook it. They’re are just like, “Oh, that makes so much sense, there’s no way that could possibly work.” Lol, I’m serious though, people actually think like that, I know I have, only later to look like a fool when I found out how dead simple it was.
So yeah, it’s time to be cool to people. I know you don’t like it when people pitch their business to you or try to sell you some new product, so don’t do it to others man. Common sense.
Here’s what you do to be really cool to all the subscribers on your list.
GIVE THEM FREE SHIT! lol
Seriously, that’s really all it takes. People love free stuff with no strings attached, so make sure your stuff complies.
Then just give it away to them before you try to sell them something. Ebooks are GREAT in these kind of situations. For example, if you wanna sell a product at a $200 price point it only makes sense to simply just give away that much value in your free stuff. So that means if your ebook is worth $50 bucks, you need to give away four of them until you earn the right to pitch your list a $200 dollar product.
Comprende?
I hope this is starting to make a lot of sense to you by now. It’s really not that hard. The rule of thumb again is really just this, give away free stuff in equal or greater value to the stuff you are trying to sell.
If you do that, and it’s actually good free stuff, people will feel WAY more inclined to buy from you.
So, what does that mean for you now?
Well, get off your booty and go get busy! Start giving some free stuff away!

Easy Money Making Strategies
Most of the time when people ask me what I do I say “About what?”
Lol, no I’m just kidding. I do say that but it usually results in confusion. They say something to the tune of “No, no what you do for work.” to which I will usually reply “Oh, I don’t work.” This throws them off the trail even further.
Next thing that comes out of that persons mouth is “That sucks, what do you do for money?”
Usually I say something like “I sell stuff on the Internet. Stuff like eBooks, videos, and digital training.” and for some reason most people just don’t ‘get it’ which I don’t really know why because it’s a really easy concept to grasp. Maybe it has something to do with being conditioned by society to believe that going to college and working a 9 to 5 is the only way to truly achieve success in life. What a big myth that is eh!
Sometimes I’ll get to talking with people and they really start probing into what I do which leads me to the number one asked question and the purpose of this post, which is to answer this question. “What’s the easiest, fastest way to start making money online now.”
The Fastest Way To Make Money Online
Now keep in mind, what I’m about to teach you will work extremely well and it may take a little extra work on your part to do it this way but it will build you a long term asset in the end. A list.
People often times think that you need a website to make money online. Truth is, you don’t. You can just direct link to an affiliate product but if you do that then you are essentially loosing out on capturing the contact info of all of those prospects. If you don’t capture them as a lead you are loosing out on the ability to market to them again and again.
If you know much about business and sales then you’ll know that most of your future revenue will come from returning customers. People who have previously bought from you in the past who return to buy from you again and again. And that’s why you build a list. And that’s why I’m going to show you how to do that.
So here’s the deal, you need to grasp the concept of a squeeze page. The whole entire purpose of a squeeze page is to do one thing and one thing only, capture your prospects email address.
Let me try and break this down a little clearer.
• You create a squeeze page.
• You send them to a targeted offer after they opt in on your squeeze page.
• The may or may not buy, either way you have your email autoresponder loaded full of follow up messages for related products.
• Once you have all of this in place all that is left to do is drive massive traffic to the squeeze page and you WILL start making money if everything was done properly and your offer is targeted towards the people you put it in front of.
How To Drive Traffic
Driving traffic is pretty much the name of the game my friend. If you don’t have traffic you aren’t making money. It’s pretty much that simple.
So here are a few strategies to drive traffic very quickly.
If you have the money I highly suggest doing PPC because that is the fastest way to start seeing results FAST, almost instantly really. I also recommend doing PPC on Yahoo because their ad network is WAY less strict than Google and you won’t get slapped around as much.
But if you don’t have the cash then you will need to focus on free traffic driving strategies. Here I would recommend doing article marketing on sites like HubPages and Ezine Articles because not only do those sites get massive traffic within them but you can also pull some solid search engine rankings writing on those sites as well.
Resources You’ll Need
The number one place to find affiliate products to promote is a website called Clickbank. Go there now and create an account if you haven’t already.
Next, I’m going to assume you don’t want to learn HTML so I’m going to give you a great place to get high quality video squeeze page templates. Check this website out right now and pick up a copy, they’re cheap. http://hotvideosqeezepagetemplate.com
Here is where you can sign up for a Yahoo PPC account and get started driving massive traffic right away. http://advertising.yahoo.com/advertisers
Another great resource for driving massive amounts of free targeted traffic is HubPages.com and EzineArticles.com
If you don’t have an autoresponder account or service yet you can get one over here.

Read MoreWhat Is Your Back End?
So other than all of you who took this
headline straight to the gutter and start thinking about your backside, this actually has some relevancy to marketing.
And in fact, this was one of the hardest concepts for me to grasp when I was first beginning my Internet Entrepreneurial journey. I was always confused when people said I needed to bring my main opportunity in on the back end, I just didn’t get it. But once I did get it, I just started making more money and signing up MORE reps into my primary opportunity.
But to understand the back end of your marketing funnel you first have to understand the front end. So lets take a look at that real quick.
The Front End
The front end of your marketing funnel refers usually to one main thing. Your video squeeze page. And I saw video squeeze page because if you are not using video in your squeeze pages today, you are surely missing out on higher conversions.
Anyways, your video squeeze page if considered your front end because that is the front end webpage that you lead with and drive all of your traffic to. All of your PPC ads, social media sites, blog posts, banners ads, forum sigs, and everything else should eventually direct your prospect to your video squeeze page.
Then they are confronted with your or someone else on video with some kind of bribe to get them to opt into your squeeze page in order to receive that piece of valuable content, or your bribe.
Once they opt in two things happens, first they are then taken to the other side of the web page which is usually a sales page of some kind. There they will have the opportunity to buy something from you or get more information on something that you are offering them.
And second, the get generated as a lead in your database. This is key because guess what they get plugged into now…
The Back End
For some reason, it took me a really long time to understand that Back End simply just meant your prospect being a lead. So once they opt in, your prospect is considered to be in your back end. And at this point you can start offering them all kinds of various targeted offers.
This is also the place where you can offer them a Network Marketing opportunity because the people who want it will raise their hands and tell you they do by opting in to your companies squeeze page or calling you, or emailing you. But if they don’t opt in you can still make money off of them because you have already generated them as a lead and can offer them related affiliate products that will help them get closer to their goal of financial freedom.
However, it is very important how you structure your Back End marketing, which is basically your autoresponder series. You need to be leading with TONS of value within your emails simply because 99% of all the other marketers out there lead with nothing but sales pitches.
Just about every single email any other marketer sends you will be a straight sales pitch. And you want to personally brand yourself as a true leader and rise above the fluff, the hype, and the blatant pitchfest going on then you need to offer value. You need to offer a way for people to get to know who YOU are because Network Marketing is about building relationships and developing those into business partners.
In my opinion the BEST way to do that is with video. You can simply link to a YouTube video in a few of your emails who’s purpose is for nothing more than to brand you as a leader and come off to people are a truly genuine person. In this kind of video it is important to talk about what success truly means to you. Talk about it unique to your life and your current circumstances, that way it will be as real as possible.
But, you can also do this with articles, blog posts, facebook, and may other different ways. Be creative and see what you can come up with. If you decide to take action on this let me know what you did and how it worked for you in the form of a comment below.

The Proper Follow Up Creates A Fortune
You’ve probably heard the term before from your upline or various different leadership type people. And they are all right in one way or another but most of the time they really were just talking about hounding the phones and calling back all your prospects until your mouth or their ears fell off, which ever came first.
When they didn’t tell you (but more likely didn’t know) is that the real fortune is in the automated followup. You see, these days we have a handy little piece of equipment called an autoresponder. I honestly don’t know what the heck I would do or how I would run my business without this precious little tool.
With an autoresponder like Aweber or GetResponse you can setup a series of prewritten emails that will go out to your prospect in a specific order after they opt into your squeeze page. Ideally you want all of these messages to relate to whatever the overall theme of your campaign is. So if you’re a Network Marketer then you want all of your autoresponder messages to relate to the MLM industry. If you’re into cars then you would want all the information you send out in your autoresponder to relate to cars.
That seems like it would be common sense but you have no idea how many people build a list of targeted people and then send them something completely unrelated. That’s how you get massive unsubscribes. Target your market.
Another really funny thing that people do is they create something they call a master list and funnel all of their leads through that list. JEEZ, when I hear about people doing this I just shake my head in utter disappointment because I know how big of a mistake that is. You want to break your lists up into segregated pieces so you can manage each campaign separately.
You want to have control of each section of your list. And collectively together your list gets bigger but is always divided amongst itself based of the different markets you’re involved with. So for example, your a Internet Marketer. You have a campaign for a video squeeze page product you promote. This campaign will have its own campaign within your autoresponder account and all your leads will funnel into that campaign for this product.
Alternatively you also run a few campaigns promoting a Clickbank product that teaches people how to make money online. This product will also have its own individual campaign within your autoresponder. The reason you do this is so that you can preload your campaign with a ton of follow up messages promoting the product your offering.
Often times people do not buy on their first visit and can take up to seven for them to make a decision. So if you’re not capture them as a lead, ultimately you’re loosing out on a lot of sales.
And THAT is exactly why following up is worth a fortune!
‘Nough said!
Matthew Neer out…
Video Squeeze Page Formula
So check this out, one of the biggest problems people have is getting a good video squeeze page set up in front of an affiliate offer. Most people take the lazy path and just take their affiliate link and drive traffic straight to the sales page. This is a big mistake, and a Internet Marketing no no.
So instead of being lazy lets step our game up a little bit and put a squeeze page in front of the sales page offer so you can generate the lead and follow up with them on the back end via autoresponder.
You see, most people are not likely to buy on the first exposure to something. It takes on average about 7 exposures for people to pull out their wallet and make a purchase.
This is why it’s critical to supply your affiliate campaigns with properly designed squeeze pages. And I say video squeeze pages because video has been proven to convert better.
It’s actually really easy to setup video squeeze pages if you have the right tools. Tools always make your job faster and easier so it’s a good idea to implement them when you get the chance to.
The Video
You once you have your squeeze page template setup you need to record a video that is relevant to your offer. For example, if you are trying to sell an iMac your video should say something along the lines of Once you put your name and email into the form on this page you will be taken to an exclusive page where you can buy your new iMac at a 10% discount and then offer a coupon so it gives your visitor a little incentive to opt in and get on your list.
Then you should have a series of autoresponder emails setup that promote this offer again and again until they buy. Then after about a week or two of promoting the iMac offer switch to something similar, something related in the same niche and promote that.
This will lead to a dramatic increase in your bottom line and eventually they will buy from you.
The Template
The hardest part for most people coming online is not knowing how to build a web page which leads them to just promoting an affiliate offer without a squeeze page.
If you don’t know how to code web pages then you are pretty much out of luck here. Or at least that’s how it used to be until someone got really smart and created something called a template.
A template is basically a cut and dry premade and precoded website that is already setup for you and only requires you to plug in a few pieces of data like a video and custom headline and text. Then you’re pretty much done with a great looking website that’s ready to generate leads for you.
I have recently discovered a fantastic resource for video squeeze page templates that is literally plug and play. You can check them out below.

Read MoreList Building – How To Build A Hyper Responsive List
One of the hardest concepts for people to grasp when they first come online is delivering great content to their list. Or even building a list for that matter. It’s possible to have HUGE list of subscribers that don’t respond to anything you send them because you have abused the list so badly.
Well today I’m going to show you how to correct that problem and how to implement some basic list building strategies.
Ahh, The List…
First thing first, you have to have a way to store your database of list subscribers. You can do that with really cool services like GetResponse, iContact, and Aweber. I mentioned Aweber last because I think they are the best service out there right now and deliver the best bang for you buck! If you don’t have an autoresponder yet, go get Aweber today, it’s only like $20 per month for your first $500 subscribers.
Now that you’ve got your autoresponder in place you need to offer something to your prospects when they hit your landing page (assuming you already have one of those setup as well, if not, you can get some top notch ones here HotVideoSqueezePageTemplate.com) that offers a great deal of value and entices them to put their email into the form. You almost want to make it seem irresistible.
Just as an example, one of the best ways to build a list is to use video on your landing page. Video converts really well and lets your visitors connect with you personally. Then in the video you tell them what they are going to get once they put their name and email into the form and how it will benefit them.
So at this point you’ve got your basic landing page setup up that is gathering leads for you and driving traffic to your sales page that should be on the other side of the landing page, which is what prospects get taken to once they opt in.
I would highly recommend only promoting a great offer here because if you promote something sketchy it will damage your reputation in your niche. Only promote high quality shit guys, bottom line. A good rule of thumb to follow is only promote it if you yourself would buy it, and you probably should anyways to learn more about your offer.
Once your prospects opt in to your landing page you’ve got their contact info. This is critical because most of them won’t buy the first time they hit your page for whatever reason. It’s a proven fact that it takes people about 7 exposures to your stuff before they actually buy. The more it costs, the more this number increases.
Now, since you got them on your list you want to write some follow up emails in your autoresponder for this specific campaign. These emails should drive traffic right back to your sales page for about the first 7 days straight. Then you can spread out the daily email intervals to about 2-3 days inbetween and growing more in space as time goes on.
This way it doesn’t seem like they got on some crazy spammer list who’s trying to suck money out of them faster than they can read. Very important to note.
Now, here’s the goods and the main point of this post.
How To Build A Hyper Responsive List
People want cool stuff, and they hate sales pitches. With that in mind you want to approach selling online like you are their best friend. Talk to your prospects in your emails like you would talk to your friends at the bar, ya know? It’s totally okay to say dude, radical, fresh, and all kinds of other hips words if that’s your thing. You can even cuss at them if you want making you seem edgy.
Whatever tickles your fancy man, do it. Now of course you want to outline the benefits of your offer within the email but you want to do it in a cool way.
Don’t try to sell em stuff, can’t stress that enough. Offer value first, establish a relationship, and show them that you actually care about their well being and people will show their appreciation with their wallets. Promise.
It just kind of boggles my mind that it takes so long for people to learn how to give value. I mean, I was guilty of this at one point but I learned quick that doesn’t get the job done, or the sale.
How Do You Offer Value?
Value is actually really easy to offer. Most people think it’s not and instead opt out of learning how to be cool online and try to pitch everyone their business opportunities or affiliate links. And trust me, there is no way to get rejected faster online than by doing that. (well, maybe by being a spammer) But that’s still pretty darn close to spamming, in fact that’s what many people would categorize you as when they see your links.
You can offer value by writing articles like I’m doing right now. Tell people how to build a list. If you don’t know how yet you can literally model my article right now and create your own based on that points I talk about in this very post.
That’s pretty much how I got my start. I would go out there, find the best article in a particular niche or on a keyword and model my own original article after it.
Maybe you’re not a writer? That’s cool too, make a video.
Video is a great way to get your name out there fast online. YouTube is that place to be right now. I have done a few articles on video marketing and other stuff similar to that. Check them out below.

Anyways, the key to building a list that loves you is by sending that really cool stuff. Send them stuff that you love. Send them funny YouTube videos related to your niche and don’t try to sell something in every email.
Send that valuable stuff all day, and you will get money all night.
